In traditional Native American healing practice, there is believed to be more to health and wellness (or disease, for that matter) than what we can see in the physical realm. A Stone Medicine treatment aims to address not only the physical causes for the illness or pain, but also the causes that come from an 'energetic' or 'spiritual' place.A stone medicine session will often start out with smudging and/or drumming. During the massage portion of the session, a variety of strokes and stone placements may be used to help balance your energies as well as promote healing on a physical level. The session may use strokes intuited from the stones, or may focus on a particular set of movements and stone placement called "Sacred Strokes"."Sacred Strokes" is the name given to special layouts and stroke sequence that come to the Shaman during vision time. Many of the strokes offered as a part of this treatment have been offered to Jenny Ray in vision, and taught to me in intensive training sessions. |

Stones will be placed on and around you to help anchor you firmly in the energies of the earth. Sometimes, I may click the stones together on or around your body. This song creates what is called Piezo-electric effect. The vibrations from the stones together travel deep into tight muscles to help to bring about release. At the conclusion of the session, the stones will be laid on the floor on a towel next to the table in an intuitive manner. The stones have been in close contact with your energy field during the session. According to the teachings passed down in Stone Medicine, when laid out in this manner they may produce a picture or symbol of that interaction that may hold meaning for you. |
