I started my study of bodywork
in May, 2002, and in doing so I discovered my great passion in life. I truly
enjoy being an integral part of the healing process. I have over 1350 hours
of training in massage therapy and reflexology, from Sister Rosalind's School
of Professional Massage Therapy (www.SisterRosalind.org).
I practice a style of bodywork
that integrates a variety of different modalities, including deep tissue massage,
reflexology, trigger point therapy, acupressure, and others into a massage
session that is customized to the unique needs of each individual client. I specialize in deep tissue massage for injury and chronic pain utilizing
heated and cooled stones (geothermal therapy).
I have 140 hours of training in aromatherapy, and I am also an Equitouch®
certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist (www.Equitouch.com).
I have received training in hot and cold stone massage from LaStone Therapy
(www.Lastone.com) and in Spa Therapy from Biotone (www.Biotone.com).
I am very excited about the new path in training which I have recently undertaken and am continually working to apply to my massage practice. I am honored to have studied with Jenny Ray, a Medicine Woman and Native American elder who I have been learning Stone Medicine from. This is an ancient Native American healing technique, and more information about it can be found in my 'Articles' page and at Jenny's website (www.sacredstonemedicine.com)
In addition to massage, I have
extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Long term, I would like
to own a hobby farm/bed and breakfast/spa, where I can offer guests a place
to relax and unwind, with peaceful gardens and tranquil paths.
